A Visit to Tijuana's Children's Museum!

On April 25 a group of 26 of us from St. David's (Clairemont), St. Andrew's  (Lake Elsinore), and St. Paul's Cathedral  took 30 Dorcas House kids to El Trompo, Tijuana's children's museum.  They had a blast, and so did we.

I hadn't had a chance to play with big bubble-makers in a long while, so I lost track of time for a while myself creating huge bubble sheets and blowing on them to watch them ripple like a wave, and in trying to enclose a kid in a bubble.  We almost did it...

The museum also had a 3-D movie theater, so we all watched Dinosaurs: Giants of Patagonia after we had had our fill with the play area.  After the movie was over, we rested and snacked on some chips and juice before walking back outside to wait for our bus.  There was a huge circle painted on the cement and no one else around, so the Dorcas House staff encouraged the kids to start running in circles.  We adults thought this was hilarious until the kids started to drag us into the makeshift racetrack for a lap or two.

The kids must have slept well that night!
